The 10km championship race starts from the Poststraat and finishes on the AVLO athletics track. The course consists of 3 identical large rounds of 3km through the center and the finish with arrival on the track. A lap consists of the following course: Start on Postartaat - Sportlaan - along the post - - Durmelaan to the end and back - Vismijn - Groentemarkt - Poststraat - Sportlaan Every lap there is a drink supply. At the track, 1 more lap must be run before reaching the finish line. At the finish, drinks and recovery food is served.

Important notes for participants in the Belgian Championship:

  1. Participants in the BC do not compete in the Optiek Sonck Streetrace. They are only eligible for the BC classification.
  2. For the BC, the following categories apply:
    • All categories men/women
    • Masters men/women, in 5-year intervals starting from the day of their 35th birthday
  3. In the BC, everyone appears in the AC (All Categories) results. Additionally, masters are also listed in their age category. For example, a master (e.g. 38 years old) may be on the podium in both 'All Categories' and in their own group (in this case M35). The BC podium is therefore cumulative.
  4. The fastest 3 BC participants, both men and women, receive a cash prize. Belgians officially registered for the BC are eligible for a medal and the honor of the title. The cash prize is NOT cumulative.
  5. The prize money will be transferred to the winners after the race.
  6. If foreign athletes participate in the BC race, they will appear in the results but are not eligible for the BC podiums. For cash prizes, a maximum of 3 foreign men and 1 foreign woman can be awarded.
  7. There are no separate cash prizes for masters. However, for the BC medals, masters are of course classified into age groups in 5-year intervals.

Race number collection

The race numbers can be collected at the AVLO administration building.

Music

Along the race trajectory and at the track, live DJ's guarantee a dynamic and fun atmosphere.

Cloak room

We provide a guarded cloak room on the track midfield where you can safely leave your belongings during the race.

Supplies

AVLO organizes water supplies during the race every 3km. At the finish, there are is also fruit.

Dressing rooms

Locker rooms and showers are provided in the Lokeren municipal sports hall, right next to the athletics track. The way there is marked with arrows.

Sanitary

Toilets and refreshment opportunities are available at the AVLO club house and the municipal sports hall.
